Hope Restored

Returning from Fiji in October 2017 we found ourselves in the midst of a very busy family time. Robs dad passed away and my father moved out of his home of 30 years.

The timing of our return couldn't have been more perfect. Rob has secured a job as Project Manager of the East Coast Planting Project with our local council and I have part time work at my old job. Ted of course is never far from my side and is very much a part of the office I work in.

March saw us finally move in to our present home and now 2 months later we are beginning to feel settled and "at home".

After 13 years of rolling our sleeves up and donating time and money in the Islands we are challenged to re look at our future and make a few changes, our focus is shifting for now and we are needed closer to home.

After much thought and prayer we have deregistered LHR from the NZ charities commission.

7 years, Tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of lives given "A hand up" under the banner of Lost Hope Resorted.

A wonderfully supportive (and often patient) husband and great fellow trustees meant stepping outside comfort zones was not something unheard off. We did it often but our mantra was always something couldn't just be a "good idea" it had to be a "God Idea" .

Have we lost the passion for the south pacific?? Far from it. A visit to our home will tell you this.

I can't encourage people enough to step outside your own little world and get involved in helping those less fortunate. It doesn't have to involve overseas travel. It could be in your own local community.

A tiny slice of LHR 2010 -2018

Thank you everyone for your belief and trust in us. You supported us financially, physically and prayerfully. Without you many lives would not have been impacted for the better.

We still have small projects in Fiji and Vanuatu but will not be launching anything big. If you want ideas or support on helping in Fiji or Vanuatu on a voluntary basis give me a yell. (undauntedkiwis@gmail.com)

UnDaunted Ted has not hung up his hat and he will continue his adventures with the hope to somehow benefit his South Pacific neighbours.

Keep an eye on his face book page. If your not already - become his friend.

Lets have coffee sometime (and Ted too of course)

Blessings Lisa
